Lesson Plan--Cell Phones in the Classroom

The last several posts have centered around the potential positive impacts of cell phone use in the curriculum. Beth Glasgow is a resource teacher for Shelby County (Alabama) Schools and known for innovative uses of technology. She sent me this lesson plan which is right on point with the topic of these last several posts.

Frank - I was going to email you this link, but I only have your former work email address.
I wish I had put this resource with the other tools for a phone in my lesson plan. Are you familiar with reQall? www.reQall.com
I think you will want to add it to your tool list.

Beth,

Yes, I LOVE reQall and have been including it in my workshops. I used Jott until they started charging, did a quick Google search for another alternative, and came up with reQall.

The work address is no longer good. Best e-mail address now is Frank@FrankBuck.org.

For others who are interested, I did a couple of posts in August 2008 about this wonderful tool.

Thank you so much to the pointer to Reqall - I've been using Jott w/ my students also (high school students, though) and haven't had a replacement! Thank you so much (for this and the SCAN CARDS!!!! THANK YOU!!!)

Vicki,
You are more than welcome for both. I had used Jott as well and then when they went out of Beta and started charging, I starting searching for a free alternative. I have loved it!

Glad the Scan Card stuff has found a good home!

Keep doing what you are doing. SO many people benefit from the tracks you are laying. I hope our paths continue to cross.
