Thanks, Daily Home!

I was a little overwhelmed to see the front page of yesterday's Daily Home. The two huge color pictures taken at my retirement reception were really overwhelming. The cutline read:

Talladega City Schools Curriculum and Special Education Coordinator Frank Buck was honored at a retirement party at Magnolia's Tuesday evening. Buck has served in the current position for three years, and has been ad administrator at various levels since 1993. He launched his career in education in 1982 as a award winning band director.

Daily Home "Friends & Neighbors"

Our local newspaper, The Daily Home is a wonderful friend to our school system and has been so gracious to me personally in helping us spotlight the good things happening in our midst. Sunday's paper included a special "Friends & Neighbors" section in which an entire half page was devoted to me, my background, and the work I have been able to accomplish through working with some very talented people.

I will put it unequivocally: yours is the first workshop for professional development I have been to that has had a daily effect on lowering my stress levels and being more aware of the things I need to do on a daily basis. I cannot thank you enough. Everyday is now easier knowing I know where my day is going and not worrying over where everything is. The simplicity is almost embarrassing – how come I never thought to do this 10 years ago?
