Students can make the decision on what they will wear the next day and have it already laid out. They can pack the book bag before going to bed. They can gather anything else going to school and place it beside the book bag. In the morning, leaving the house is a simple matter of grabbing the book bag and whatever is around it, and heading out the door.
Therefore, the fifth step towards managing school the easy way is to get everything ready the night before.
I hope you have enjoyed this “Managing School the Easy Way” series. A little organization can go a long way towards making school (and life) more stress-free and enjoyable!
Does this mean you push back bedtime so that there is time in the evening or what...?? Softball ends at 6:30, dinner at 7, homework til 9, bedtime 9. Where is the part where the time says get ready for tomorrow??
ReplyDeleteSounds like your day is packed. I guess the only question I would have is what happens from dismissal until 6:30. Does softball last 3 1/2 hours every day? If not, can some of that time be used for homework?
ReplyDeleteVery little TIME is actually required. The key is the structure. Establish one spot where everything for you to examine goes and a place where that is returned when you are done. It takes no more time to drop papers in the right spot than to simply drop them all over the house.
As for what to wear, if time is short in the evenings, an entire week's worth of clothing can be chosen and lined up during the weekend.
The actual getting ready for tomorrow should take no more than a few minutes.
