Jan was an inspiration in so many ways, as someone who understood the principalship as being the place where it all happens, as a leader and promoter of technology, as a turn-around artist, and as just a great human being.

Her very last blog post referenced her involvement with Facebook, and it is through Facebook that so many around the country are able to share our respective thoughts of "Dr. Jan."Dr. Frank Buckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10215499400544458341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8115180.post-10059787202835060212010-02-12T21:46:52.855-06:002010-02-12T21:46:52.855-06:00Frank,

Jan's blog was one of the very first principal blogs I read and subscribed to, and she often commented on my blog posts which I really appreciated. It's strange how we may never actually meet someone, yet through the miracle of the internet, feel as if we knew the person in some way. This is a true loss to the education world and to the edu-blogosphere. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jan's family, friends, colleagues, and students.
- Dave ShermanDave Shermanhttp://theprincipalandinterest.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
